Can’t wait to see this guy on the TV again…hahaha
Anberlin: We Owe This To Ourselves
Anberlin in Dallas is getting closer and closer. I was thinking to myself earlier about all the shows hitting Dallas in September, let’s see there is;
Skillet w/ Creed: September 3rd Superpages.com
John Mayer: September 4th Superpages.com
Paramore: September 10th Verizon Theater
Kings of Leon: September 23rd Superpages.com
Mat Kearney: September 24th State Fair
Flyleaf: September 28th House of Blues
Anberlin w/ Civil Twilight: September 29th House of Blues
Owl City: Stovall Park September 30th
Wow, see that is one month. I could go to all these shows and be content but dang if I didn’t work in radio these tickets would have a significant drain on my pocket book.
Anyways, out of all these shows the ones I am looking forward to the most is Anberlin, Flyleaf, and Paramore. I haven’t seen Flyleaf headline a show in forever so it’s good that they are going to be playing. Paramore should be pretty awesome as well I am trying to get an interview with the band and am waiting to hear back from the people to see if it’s going to be possible. If so what questions should I ask? I always ask this question before an interview and I always get “Where did they come up with their band name?” ehhh..pffft. I may be in different about interviews but when I do interview a band I try to have a conversation with them and see what they are like as “PEOPLE.”
I know its a simple concept but I think the interview itself is always much more enjoyable for them and for myself. I hate asking the same questions I feel like they get asked 100 bagillion times. Anyways I’ll let ya know what becomes of the Paramore interview if anything.
Until then enjoy the first track off the new Anberlin record.
Sigur Ros- Glosoli
You have to listen to the whole thing to appreciate the song. Beautiful.
The new EP from The Devil Wears Prada came out today and they did more promotion for this EP then some bands/labels do for records! I thought the promotion and marketing was a cool concept. They worked with artists to design a comic book around the EP and the EP trailer look like something that would have debuted in a movie theater. Maybe this is one reason why The Devil Wears Prada are successful despite lingering album sales. With very little airplay on radio stations the album is ranked within the top 15 albums on iTunes and mind you this is a 5 song EP. They are doing something right.
I seriously wonder how long it took this guy to make this video.
Regardless its pretty awesome, wow!
